Ceremony with legalities in the Czech Republic for foreigners needs to be planned couple of months before you wedding day. The register office in the Czech Republic requires your documents at least 4 weeks in advance plus 1-2 week for translations to Czech, plus time it takes to obtain documents in your home country (usually 2-6 weeks).
LEGAL DOCUMENTS
Foreigners getting married in the Czech Republic need to present following documents:
- Birth certificate
- No Impediment to marry - document you are single/divorced, and your address and nationality, issued usually by your local register office
- Divorce decree - if divorced
- valid passports
- official Czech translation of documents

RELIGIOUS ROMAN-CATHOLIC WEDDING
Your christening certificate will be requested (at least one of you has to be catholic) and pre-wedding preparation with your priest. We will tell you more details.
Non-EU citizens are requested a document from Foreign Police of Czech Republic, issued latest 7 days before your wedding. We are happy to guide you there and help you fill in all paperwork as requested.
You are requested by local register office in Czechia Monday or Wednesday before your wedding day for a meeting.
Your marriage certificate will be issued 21-30 days after your wedding, we can obtain all necessary stamps and translate it by official translator.
Your marriage is legally valid worldwide.
